SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENTS RIGHTS AND TERMS

Sponsorship agreements – rights, deliverables and terms

A sponsorship agreement governs the partnership between sponsor and rights holder: which rights the sponsor receives, which deliverables must be provided, the fee, exclusivity, contract term and what applies if something unforeseen happens. A clear agreement protects both parties and makes the partnership easier to activate.

Which rights and terms need to be clarified?

List deliverables with numbers, timing and responsibility. Describe how name, logo, image and film may be used, in which channels and for what period. Clarify approvals and any conflicts with team or federation agreements.

Define the scope and sector of exclusivity, contract term, renewal and how the partnership can be ended. Address non-delivery and unforeseen events. This page is commercial guidance, not legal advice; have a lawyer review agreements when needed.
